Teen Cyberbullying | Episode 060

Episode summary introduction:

It seems that this generation of teens have more anxiety and emotional turmoil than those of my generation. Now, I know I’m telling my age here but I would have never imagined that this would be the world in which children would have to witness or become victims of bullying 2.0. It has gone to a whole other level; from the playground to smartphones, social media and world wide web.

Topic 1:

Cyberbullying is using technology to harass, threaten, embarrass, or target another person. It could be in a text, e-mail, dm, or in a post on social media or online. It can be done anonymously, making the bullying worse. Anything that gets posted online and is meant to hurt, harass, or upset someone else is considered cyberbullying.

Topic 2: There are many different sides to bullying. We would like to go over the impacts of bullying from multiple different avenues, the victim, the bully and the bystander, as there are many who are affected when someone is bullied.

Topic 3:

Prevention and Educate yourself and others
